Casa Panarea is a minimalistic Boho Chic Designer House with a lot of natural elements.
Located in historical San Sebastian, this fully restored home is well situated for making the most of Merida’s colonial center. Brilliantly restored but with modern conveniences, this beautiful 1 bedroom home sits just a block away from San Sebastian Park with its mercado, church, local-flavor restaurants, and other amenities.
This incredible home has the high ceilings and tall wooden doors that a true Merida colonial should while simultaneously being very clean and modern making it more easy to maintain. The spacious entry of the home also acts as a gathering/dining/living area and is where friends and family tend to congregate. The true living room is located behind this space and is open to the kitchen as well with pool and courtyard views. This courtyard space is tastefully landscaped for ease of living. creating a place to retreat within the walls of the property and to enjoy the filtered pool. A full bathroom is also located to the right of this space. A large master bedroom is tucked at the rear of the property, just past the pool, and has an en suite bathroom and walk-in closet.  Casa Panarea also has an additional roof terrace area, accessed via a spiral staircase in the courtyard. This area is an awesome place for enjoying the night breezes with a tropical drink while taking in the night skyline. Â
This clean and modern retreat is perfect at which to unwind and relax after days of exploring and enjoying everything the area has to offer.
As much as possible, the materials used at Casa Panarea are locally sourced and designed by Julia Mache Studio. The lamps are handmade of materials typical to Yucatan, for example Huano Palm and Behuco Roots or Jipi Japa Palm and Hennequen. The wood blocks and large are Ciricote wood and the sinks are all made from local Crema Maya with an element of Peruvian pre-Colombian, Chan Chan Culture. All Baskets are designed by Julia Mache Studio and are part of a special edition of dresses and bags called Mexico Noir which are made in collaboration with local artisans in diverse areas in Mexico.
